Suspended Scaffold (Swing Stage) Competent Installer & Operator

2-Day Program

This full-scope 2-day training program is designed for workers who assemble, operate, and inspect Suspended Work Platforms (Swing Stage) systems. Focused on both the theory and hands-on skills needed for safe and compliant swing stage setup, it’s ideal for those with installation responsibilities.

Who Should Attend:

This course is designed for construction and maintenance workers, supervisors, and other personnel responsible for setting up or working on swing stages.

What You’ll Learn:
  • Identify and understand swing stage system components and setup procedures
  • Perform safe rigging, assembly, and dismantling
  • Apply CSA Standards and provincial regulations in real-world scenarios
  • Recognize and respond to potential job site hazards
  • Conduct thorough inspections and safe system modifications
Course Features:
  • In-depth instruction on platform setup, rigging, and load calculations
  • Emphasis on Pre-use Inspections, emergency preparedness, and site-specific hazard awareness
  • Hands-on training with instructor-led system assembly and inspection

Certification:

Participants must complete a written test (75% passing grade) and a practical skills evaluation to earn their Swing Stage Competent Person Installer Certificate, valid for 3 years.

Ideal for construction workers, maintenance personnel, and supervisors who work on or around swing stages.

What You’ll Learn:
  • Identify types of suspended platforms and their components
  • Safely assemble, operate, and dismantle swing stages
  • Conduct thorough pre-use inspections
  • Mitigate on-site hazards, including fall risks and load issues
  • Understand regulatory requirements and responsibilities

FRACO Mast Climber Training

As an authorised FRACO training centre, we are proud to offer this comprehensive training for operators and installers of mast climbing platforms and work‑equipment. FRACO Level 1 Operator

1/2-Day Course

Participants must demonstrate their capacity to adequately operate the platform while respecting all the safety instructions.

Participants must attain a 70% passing grade on the safety measures exam in order to receive the certificate of qualification, as well as demonstrate to the trainer in charge their understanding of their errors.

The certificate is valid for a period of five (5) years and is non-transferable.

FRACO Level 2 A&B Install/Dismantle

4-Day Course

Level 2A: Installation (freestanding base)
Participants must demonstrate their capacity to install and dismantle a work platform on a freestanding base while respecting all the safety instructions.

Participants must attain a 70% passing grade on the safety measures exam in order to receive the certificate of qualification, as well as demonstrate to the trainer in charge their understanding of their errors.

The certificate is valid for a period of five (5) years and is non-transferable.

FRACO Level 1 Operator

1/2-Day Program

Who Should Attend:

Workers who will operate FRACO mast-climbing work platforms, but are not responsible for installation or dismantling.

What You’ll Learn:
  • Platform safety features and controls
  • Proper start-up, shut-down, and operation
  • Emergency procedures
  • Visual inspections before use
  • Applicable regulations and FRACO manufacturer guidance

Certification:

Participants must attain a 70% passing grade on the safety measures exam in order to receive the certificate of qualification, as well as demonstrate to the trainer in charge their understanding of their errors. The certificate is valid for a period of five (5) years and is non-transferable.

FRACO Level 2A & 2B – Installer Training

4-Day Program

Who Should Attend:

Personnel responsible for installing, dismantling, or anchoring FRACO mast climbers, either freestanding or anchored.

What You’ll Learn:
  • Complete setup and teardown of platforms
  • Freestanding base (2A) and anchored base (2B) procedures
  • Anchorage layout and load limits
  • Fall protection tie-offs and rigging techniques
  • Hazard identification and emergency response
  • Compliance with OH&S and FRACO installation protocols
Certification:

Participants must attain a 70% passing grade on the safety measures exam in order to receive the certificate of qualification, as well as demonstrate to the trainer in charge their understanding of their errors. The certificate is valid for a period of five (5) years and is non-transferable.
